Rev. Darcy and Mark DeLeon
Mark and Darcy were both raised in Christian homes where going to church was the right thing to do. Both were saved in their early teen years and after their marriage in 1992 realized God was calling them into a more devoted relationship with Him.
Mark graduated from Ohio State University and Bowling Green State University and has worked as a Medical Technologist for almost 20 years. Darcy graduated from Heidelberg College with Bachelors of Music in Education. She has taught music in the public and private schools but taught private piano lessons as she took time at home to raise their three children. It was during that time she realized the call of ministry on her life and began her pursuit of ordination with the Assemblies of God. Darcy's pursuit of ordination was realized in May of 2014 during her battle with Lymphoma. Darcy had been diagnosed the previous November with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma. Believing God for a divine healing she soon realized she had to walk though this process to demonstrate faithfulness in her own walk of integrity. Following a Stem Cell Transplant and many rounds of chemo, she was declared cancer free in October of that same year. During her year of treatment God allowed hidden talents to surface that she was able to use to keep her focused on her walk with Jesus. She was able to use painting as a way to minister to others and stay encouraged in a very hard time. Taking the Scriptures and breaking them down in unique ways is Darcy's gifting in ministry. Besides preaching she has a unique teaching style and she has written a bible study for anyone desiring to deepen their walk with Christ as well. |
